Day Hike in Dilijan National Park: From Lake Parz to Gosh Village

The Dilijan National Park is one of the most beautiful sites in Armenia. There are many hiking trails here for people with all different tastes. The hike from Lake Parz to the Gosh village is relatively easy, not to mention pleasant and stunning!

Tour description

In the morning, we will greet you at your hotel in Yerevan and we will take you to the Gegharkunik region. We will read Lake Sevan and our first stop will be Sevanavank. After learning more about the monastery’s history and admiring the views provided by the lake, we will continue on to Parz Lake in the Dilijan National Park. From here, we will begin to hike for 3.5 kilometers until we reach a gap in the forest. This is the site of a gorgeous view of the Ijevan mountains. In the summer and fall, this space is surrounded by chamomile fields. We will have a lunch break at this stunning spot. Then, we will follow the trails to reach the Gosh village, where we will visit the Goshavank monastery complex. If you would like to, we can continue our hike to Lake Gosh, which will lengthen our hike by 5 km.

On the way back to Yerevan, we will stop in Dilijan where we will visit the Old Dilijan complex. Here, we will learn about Dilijan’s wood architecture.
