Day Hike to Teghenis Mountain and Tsaghkunyats Lake
Mount Teghenis is the highest peak in the Teghenyats mountain range at 2,851 meters. It is a wonderful place for hiking in the spring and fall. There are elm forests on the southern slopes, and the eastern slopes are covered in oak and hornbeam forests.

Tour description
We will greet you at your hotel and then head on to the Buzhakan village. We will begin our hike north. After hiking for 3.5 kilometers, we will have our first break at the Teghenyats Monastery, which was built in the 11th century. After a small break, we will continue to hike to the peak of Teghenis (2,851m). We will start to descend from the peak and continue north, then east toward Lake Tsaghkunyats. This small lake is located 2,400 meters above sea level. We will finish our tour at the Aghveran mountain resort, then return to Yerevan.
